His age was 89 years, 9 months and 19 days. Mr. Faber had been a resident of Gettysburg for the last 49 years, prior to that time having conducted general stores at different times in Table Rock, Two Taverns and White Hall. He also manufactured cigars but discontinued business in 1911 on account of his age. Mr. Faber was a native of York county. He is survived by the following children: Miss Emma L. Faber, Edgar S. and George B. Faber, all of Gettysburg. His wife died about 26 years ago. Three grandchildren also survive. Deceased was a member of the Hanover Lodge, No. 327 I. O. O. F. Funeral Tuesday, Jan. 4, from his late home at 1:30, services conducted by the Rev. Dr. T. J. Markley and the Rev. D. M. Moser. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, January 8, 1916
