All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Cornelius Fitzgerald Cornelius Fitzgerald, a veteran of the Civil war, died at the home of his son, Joseph Fitzgerald, Reading Township, Adams county, near New Chester, June 26, aged 78 years, 7 months and 7 days. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. Deceased was a son of the late John Fitzgerald, Huntington township, and is the last surviving member of his family. For many years he lived in Tyrone township, where he was engaged at farming, but about fifteen months ago moved to the home of his son, in Reading township. Mr. Fitzgerald served during the Civil war as a member of Company B, 149th Pennsylvania Volunteers. He is survived by the following children: John, Huntington township; Joseph, Reading township; and George and Clayton, New Chester. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, July 1, 1916
