On the morning of the 27th ult., in this place, Mrs. Ann Flemming, relict of the
late Frederick A. Flemming, of Baltimore, Md., aged 88 years.
Sleep, dearest mother, sleep, We will hush each sorrowing moan;
Thine was a life of toil and grief; It is over—thy work is done.
Why should we vainly sigh, Oh why should we weep for thee,
When we know thou hast reached that heavenly rest, Where thy soul was longing to be.
Sleep, dearest mother, sleep.
