Gardner, died at her home in this place on Friday night after a lingering illness. Mrs. Gardner spent all her life in this locality, the greater part of which was passed on the large Gardner farm, situate in close proximity to the mountain, where through the extended acquaintance of her late husband and herself throughout the surrounding country, and the hearty welcome that was always found there, made it a headquarters for many sportsmen and hunters. She leaves a son and two daughters, Parker Gardner, living near the home farm, and Mrs. Dr. C. L. Myers and Miss Blanche Gardner, of York Springs. She was aged 78 years, and was interred at the Latimore Meeting House on Tuesday, of which denomination she was a consistent member.
