JOHN GEORGE Was Faithful Member of Church of Brethren For Many Years. Mrs. John H. George, Aspers, died at her home Thursday, after an illness of two weeks. She was aged 56 years, 4 months and 26 days. The maiden name of Mrs. George was Miss Sarah Catherine Mummert and she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Mummert, of Reading township. For twenty three years she was a faithful member of the Brethren Church of Marsh Creek. She leaves her husband and these daughters and sons: Mrs. Charles Miller, New Oxford; Mrs. Ralph Hoof, York Springs; John W. George, Aspers; Richard H. George, Aspers; Mrs. William Stallsmith, Heidlersburg; Miss Daisy George and Miss Mary George at home. Ten grandchildren and these brothers and sisters also survive her: Mrs. Molly Davis, Grayson; Mrs. Richard Yingst, East Berlin; Susanna Mummert, Philadelphia; Miss Clara Mummert, Gettysburg; Andrew Mummert, York Springs; Abraham Mummert, Indiana; George Mummert, Wellsville; Francis Mummert, Oklahoma. Brief funeral services at the house Sunday morning at 9 o’clock conducted by Rev. Albert Hollinger. Further services later in Mummert’s church, conducted by Rev. Charles Baker.
