Mr. Edward Gettler died at his home, near town, last Friday at 11 a.m., aged 77 
years, 5 months and 15 days.  The funeral took place on Monday at 12:30, at the 
house, the service in charge of his pastor, Rev. Guy P. Bready, of the Reformed 
Church.  Interment was made in Baust Church cemetery.  He is survived by his 
wife, one adopted daughter, Mrs. Martin Hoke, of Hanover, and one sister, Mrs. 
Fairley, of near Reisterstown.  In early life he was a mason by trade, and was 
well known in Littlestown and Hanover, but of late years he was a huckster(?).
