Gilbert Gettysburg, June 16. – Frank M. Gilbert, life long resident of this place, died last Saturday morning at his home at 26 Breckenridge street, after an illness of two months from a complication of diseases. He was forty-eight years of age. Mr. Gilbert was a paperhanger by trade and was born and raised here. He was a member of the Citizen’s Bank for the past twenty-five years. He is survived by his wife and an adopted daughter, Virginia Gilbert; his mother, Mrs. Jacob Gilbert, of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Sally Donovan, Mrs. Minnie Jones and Mrs. Katie Billmeyer, all of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Robert W. Gilbert, Lancaster. Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, services at his late residence ---- remainder missing--- Adams County Independent, June 17, 1921
