Jacob H. Gobrecht, a well known citizen of Union township, died on Tuesday of 
last week, at his home in that township.  He was a veteran of the war, and a 
member of Major Jenkins Post, G. A. R., of Hanover.  His age was about 63 years.  
He served the people of the township for several terms as a Justice of the 
Peace.  His death was the effect of rheumatism, from which he was a great 
sufferer for a long time.  The funeral took place from his late residence last 
Tuesday.  Interment at Christ church.
