Grove, 79, died at 6:15 a.m. Monday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lau, East Berlin, with whom he had been residing. Death followed a lingering illness. He had been a butcher for 20 years retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of the Lutheran church of East Berlin and the East Berlin fire company. Besides the daughter with whom he resided, he leaves these children: Charles M. Grove, York; Mrs. Walter Sowers, York; Mrs. Elmer Paxton, York R.D.; and Mrs. Paul Krenzer, Hanover; seven grandchildren, a great- grandchild and two brothers, Noah B. Grove, York, and Charles B. Grove, Middletown. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Emig funeral home, East Berlin. The Rev. Snyder Alleman officiated. Internment in East Berlin Union cemetery. Pallbearers were his son-in-law, Elmer Paxton, Robert Lau, Paul Krenzer and Walter Sowers, and his grandsons, Leon Paxton and Elvin Lau.
