HARRIS DIES VERY SUDDENLY Body if Found By Daughter On Her Return From Work BENDERSVILLE, Sept. 28. – The body of Mrs. Miriam G. Harris, widow of the late Hiram Harris, was found late ---day afternoon in her home here by her daughter, Miss Beulah E. Harris, when she returned from the office of Tyson Brothers at Flora Dale where she is employed. From the position of the body, it was evident that death had overtaken Mrs. Harris suddenly. Miss Harris left her mother in apparent good health when she went away in the morning. Upon her return after work Friday afternoon, she found the lifeless form of her mother in a room on the first floor. From the appearance of the body, death was sudden, the exact time, however, is not known. Dr. W. E. Wolff, of Arendtsville, was summoned, but deemed a coroner’s inquest unnecessary. Mrs. Harris was aged 76 years, 6 months and 17 days. Surviving are two sons, Edwin T. Harris, of Bendersville, and Isaac E. Harris, of Lucerne, Wyoming; and one daughter, Beulah, at home. She also leaves one brother, Thos. W. Wright, and three sisters, Mrs. G. Edward Wright, Mrs. Zarzillai A. Jones, of Menallen township, and Mrs. Harlan L. Groupe, of near Chambersburg. Two grandchildren survive. Funeral services were held at her late home Sunday afternoon. Interment at Friends’ cemetery, near Flora Dale. Adams County Independent, September 29, 1922
