Mrs. Jacob Hartman

Mrs. Elizabeth Hartman, widow of the late Jacob Hartman, died at her home in 
Hamilton township, Adams county, at 1 a.m. Saturday, May 10, after an illness of 
several years from a complication of diseases.  Death was probably hastened by a 
fall which she received last Sunday, resulting in the breaking of one of the 
bones of her lower limb.  Her age was 74 years, 1 month and 29 days.

The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Miller, of Adams 
county.  Her husband died about six years ago.  She leaves three children, 
Wilson Hartman, at home; Josiah Hartman, of Dillsburg, and J. R. Hartman, of 
Brown’s Mill.  Also, one sister, Miss Susan Miller, at home.

Funeral Tuesday, May 12, services in the Lutheran church at Abbottstown at 9 
a.m., Rev. F. C. Sternat officiating.
