Joseph J. Hemler died at his home in Mountpleasant township Wednesday, Nov. 1, aged 81 years 
and 6 months.  Funeral was held on Saturday morning from St. Joseph’s Catholic church, 
Bonneauville.  Interment in the cemetery of the church.  He leaves four sons and four 
daughters, Thomas, Henry and Joseph, of Mountpleasant township, and Frank Hemler, of Spearfish, 
South Dakota; Mrs. Wm. Wise, of Hanover; Mrs. Louis Miller and Mrs. John Smith of Mt. Pleasant 
township and Mrs. Gertrude Bixler, of Lebanon, Pa.
