All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Mrs. Batilda Houck Mrs. Batilda Houck, an aged lady of Littlestown, died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 15, of Bright’s disease and pleura pneumonia. Mrs. Houck lived alone, but kind neighbors and friends did much to alleviate her suffering. She was a prominent worker in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and attended prayer meeting the evening before she was attacked by the fatal malady. She was aged about 83 years, and is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Angeline Lampert, near Hampstead, and Miss Amanda Wolf, of Taneytown. The funeral was held Friday morning at 10:30 with services in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Rev. J. J. Hill officiating.
