Died in the West

The Abilene, Kansas, “Daily Reflector,” of February 6th, contains notice of the death of David W. Howard, who had been a 
resident of that town for more than thirty five years.

David Wesley Howard was a son of George and Elizabeth (Miller) Howard and was born at the Howard home near Rocky Grove 
schoolhouse, Straban township, Adams county, March 10, 1837.  He was married to Miss Mary Emma Chronister, of York 
Springs, in 1863, and moved to Kansas in 1872.  Mr. Howard leaves his wife and three children, all living in the West.
