Samuel Jacobs died Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the home of his son, Andrew Jacobs, at 
Thomasville, from hemorrhages, after half an hour’s illness, aged 80 years, 6 
months and 24 days.  He was a retired farmer and formerly lived near East 
Berlin.  Following the death of his wife, two months ago, he moved to the home 
of his son.  The funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, with services and 
interment at Mummert Meeting House, Rev. C. L. Baker, officiating.
