Mr. Kime went to the Dr. J.G. Stover place on Monday morning, apparently in perfect health, and engaged in cutting corn. About half-past eleven o'clock one of the employees noticed that he was not well and went to him. Mr. Kime gasted, "I have a stroke," and lapsed into unconsciousness which continued until his death. He was a native of Franklin township, widely known and with many friends. He served two enlistements in the Civil War, first with Co. D165th Pennsylvania Volunteers and then with Co. B, 21st Pennsylvania Cavalry. He took part in twenty-one battles. He leaves his wife and ten sons and daughters: E.E. Kime of Cumberland township; Mrs. George Sharrah, of Cashtown; Mrs. Frank Furney, of Gettysburg; Samuel Kime, of Dixon, ILl; David Kime, of Washington, D.C.; Daniel Kime, of Cumberland township; Geo. Kime, of Olney, Ill; Washington Kime, of Minn.; Curtis Kime, with the United States forces in France; and Sherman Kime, of Gettysburg. Two sisters survive, Mrs. Noah Fleck and Mrs. Anthony Deardorff, both of Mummasburg. Funeral was on Friday, services and internment at Calvary Church, near Cashtown, of which he was a member. Rev.
