He was a son of Mrs. Sarah Krichten and the late Joseph Krichten. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose HOCHENSMITH Krichten; seven children, Joseph Krichten, Littlestown; Mrs. Catherine FROCK, Taneytown, Md.; Mrs. Donald BOWERS, Taneytown, Md.; John, Paul, Ed and Robert Krichten, at home; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Krichten, Brushtown; four brothers, Earl Krichten, McSherrystown; C. Krichten, Philadelphia; Elsworth Krichten, Midway, and Charles Krichten, McSherrystown; two sisters, Mrs. Curtis SMITH and Mrs. Thomas EAUKER, Brushtown. He was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary’s Catholic church, McSherrystown. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning with a solemn high mass in St. Mary’s Catholic church, McSherrystown at 9 o’clock. The rector, Rev. Patrick McGee, officiated.
