East Berlin - On Monday evening, we were surprised to hear of the sudden death 
of Mrs. Elias Lau, of this place, from an attack of paralysis and heart failure.  
She was buried today, Rev. Mr. Clare officiating at the funeral.  She was a 
faithful member of the Lutheran Church and Sunday school.  Four sons, Luther and 
Milton, of Paradise Township, Rev. J. B. Lau, of Blaine, Perry Co., and Rev. D. 
B. Lau, of Liberty, Tioga County, survive her.  Her maiden name was Baer, and 
she was a sister to John H. Baer and Mrs. Jacob Sprenkle, of Baer's Station, 
near York.
