Sister Mary Zita

Sister Mary Zita, of St. Joseph’s Convent, McSherrystown, died Tuesday morning 
at 5 a.m. following an operation for appendicitis, after a months’ illness.

The deceased was Miss Mary Lavin, of Pittston, Pa., and was formerly a Sister at 
St. Joseph’s Convent, Chestnut Hill, near Philadelphia.  She has been at St. 
Joseph’s Convent, McSherrystown for the past five years.
