Leese, well-known farmer of Union township, died last Saturday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock at the family residence, near Bart’s Church. Death was due to paralysis. He was aged 71 years, 9 months and 8 days. He was the son of the late John and Sarah Leese. Thirty-six years ago he was married to Miss Louisa Bolden, who survives with the following children: John Leese, Hampton; Enoch and Frank Leese and Mrs. Edward Bentzel, Union township; Calvin Leese, Spring Grove; Charles Leese, York Springs; Mrs. John T. Fuhrman and Mrs. Clarence Diehl, Hanover, and Roger Leese, at home. Twenty-one grandchildren also survive. The funeral was held Monday morning. A brief service was held at the Leese home at 9:30 o’clock and further services in Christ Reformed church, Rev. Dr. F. S. Lindaman officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
