Jonas Leib

Jonas Leib, a former school director of Reading township, Adams county died 
Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lynn Nell, at New Cumberland, 
after a six weeks’ sickness.  Death was due to a complication of diseases.

Mr. Leib, a former resident of East Berlin, left last Fall for a visit to his 
daughter at New Cumberland.  Since the death of his wife, a score of years ago, 
the deceased made his home with his children.  He was a member of Trinity 
Lutheran church, East Berlin.

Surviving are the following children:  Mrs. Cora Kauffman, Reading Township, 
Mrs. George Fissel, East Berlin, Arthur Leib, of Reading Township, Mrs. Lynn 
Nell, New Cumberland, Mrs. Lottie Hamm, East Berlin, Mrs. Blanche Winand of 
Reading Township, Charles, a school teacher employed in the vicinity of 
Allentown, and Wilbur, a student at the First Pennsylvania State Normal school, 
Millersville.  One brother, Abraham Leib, of near East Berlin, and a sister, 
Mrs. Henry Zarfoss, of East Berlin, also survive.
