Little died March 1st, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Francis Shriver, in Gettysburg, from heart trouble, aged 83 years, 2 months and 19 days. Mr. Little was a saddle-maker by trade and was well known. He was a grandson of the founder of Littlestown. He served two enlistments of nine months each in the Civil war, the first with the 165th Pennsylvania, and had two honorable discharges. Surviving are these children, John and Walter Little, of Harrisburg; Mrs. J. Grant Frock, of Midway; Mrs. Samuel Rebert, of Hanover; and Mrs. Frank Shriver, of Gettysburg. He also leaves one brother and one sister, James Little, of near Gettysburg, and Mrs. Florence Longsdorff, of Mechanicsburg. Funeral Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the house, services conducted by Rev. Charles Gardner. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, March, 8, 1913
