LITTLE Burgess of McSherrystown Succumbs To Complications of Diseases. Vincent P. Little, burgess of McSherrystown, and one of the town’s best-known citizens, died at his late home, No. 213 North Street, at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31st, following a prolonged illness from a complication of diseases. He was aged 63 years, 9 months and 17 days. The deceased served efficiently as Burgess of McSherrystown for the past two years, having previously been a member of Town Council for a number of terms. He was the Treasurer of St. Mary’s Beneficial Society, a member of the McSherrystown Fire Company, and a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. For many years he had charge of St. Mary’s parish picnic. He always took an active interest in charity work and spent much of his time by the bedside of sick friends and administering to wants of the needy. Burgess Little was a son of the late Anthony Little, of that place. He was married three times, his first wife being Miss Mary Storm, daughter of the late Aloysius Storm, his second wife was Miss Emma Weaver, daughter of the late Sebastian Weaver and his third wife who survives, was Miss Maggie O’Farrel, formerly of Westminster. Besides his widow three children survive: Mrs. Pius Topper, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Frank Lawrence and George Little, of McSherrystown; also the following brothers and sisters, John and Jacob Little, of McSherrystown; Mrs. Agnes Fink, Mrs. Emma J. Dunn, Mrs. A. J. Brady, Mrs. George Miller, Miss Clara Little, of McSherrystown, and Mrs. Levi Lawrence, of Mt. Rock. Funeral Monday 9 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.
