Lott, a native of Adams county, died at his home in Mishawaka, Indiana, December 27, after a lingering illness at the age of 85 years. Mr. Lott was the last surviving member of the William H. Lott family and was born in Mt. Pleasant township, Adams county, September 23, 1831. He has been residing in Indiana since he was 21 years of age. For many years he was a school teacher in Mishawaka and devoted considerable time to the miller’s trade. He then purchased a dray line and followed that business until his retirement. On June 7, 1862, Mr. Lott was married to Miss Eliza Van Buskirk, who died in 1912. surviving him are the following children: William T., with who he resided; Charles W., Mishawaka, J. Walter, Elkhart, and Mrs. Harlan J. Lindsley, also of Mishawaka. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, January 15, 1916
