Mackley Mrs. Ellen Walter Mackley, wife of John A. Mackley, died at her late home, No. 536 Broadway, Sunday evening at 6 o’clock following an illness of one year from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Mackley’s illness however was only of a serious nature since last Friday when she became paralyzed. She was aged 69 years, 11 months and 10 days. The deceased was a daughter of the late George and Susan Walter, and was born in Seven Valleys, York County, June 4, 1846. She was married April 17, 1867 to Mr. Mackley and then moved to Glen Rock, Iowa, where they remained a short time. Returning to their native state, they began farming near Littlestown where they lived until three years ago when they moved to their present home on Broadway. Mrs. Mackley was a member of Redeemer’s Reformed church, Littlestown, for over thirty years and on moving to Hanover became connected with Grace Reformed church, this place. She is survived by her husband, two foster-children, Mrs. H. W. Cromer, of Frederick Street, and Chas. Angell, of York, and one sister, Mrs. William Decker, of York. Funeral, Wednesday, at 2 p.m., services at the house, her pastor, Rev. S. P. Mauger, of Grace Reformed church, officiating. Interment on the family lot in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
