Death of H. P. Mark

Arendtsville, Nov. 18 – After a lingering illness lasting over a period of 
several years, Hanson P. Mark, veteran undertaker and store keeper of this 
place, died last Saturday morning.  He was nearly sixty-seven years old.

For about thirty-five years Mr. Mark conducted an undertaking business in 
Arendtsville until two years ago when declining health made it necessary for him 
to retire from active participation in that occupation.  In conjunction with his 
work as undertaker Mr. Mark owned a furnishing store which he maintained until 
the time of his death.

As the result of so many years’ activity in and around Arendtsville, Mr. Mark 
formed a wide circle of acquaintances and was an unusually well liked man.

His wife is the only near relative who survives him.
