John H. McDonnell, a retired farmer living near Gulden’s Station, died Monday 
night from a stroke of apoplexy aged 77 years, 11 months and 2 days.  He was a 
veteran of the Civil War.  He is survived by one son, George McDonnell.  Funeral 
was on Thursday, services by Rev. W. R. Glen, and interment at the Salem Church.
