Jacob Meals, a native of Gettysburg, died June 4, at Carthage, Illinois, aged 79 
years, 2 months and 16 days.  Deceased resided in Pennsylvania until 1854.  He 
is survived by three sons and one daughter.  Hannah Walters, of Gettysburg, and 
Lydia Pannabaker, of Hanover, are sisters of the deceased.
