Mrs. Emma J. Miller, wife of Adam C. Miller of East Berlin died at the Union 
Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, on Wednesday morning, June 13, after an illness of 
more than six months due to cancer. She was taken to the hospital about two 
months ago. She was aged 47 years, 8 months and 2 days and is survived by her 
husband and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew D. Spangler, of York, formerly of East 
Berlin; and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Edwin Resser, Miss Fannie 
and Lewis Spangler, of York and Mrs. Clarence Chronister, of Spring Grove. The 
funeral was held last Saturday afternoon with services in Trinity Lutheran 
Church by her pastor, Rev. Paul Glatfelter. Interment was made in Union 
Cemetery, East Berlin.
