Raymond R. Moore 
Raymond R. Moore, 78, died Saturday, June 23 .. at his residence. 
Born Jan. 14, 1923 in New Oxford, he was a son of the late John L. and Frances G. Strausbaugh Moore. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, 
Helen M.Gallagher Moore...  He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. 
He is also survived by two sons, Ronald E. Moore of Hanover, and Jeffrey A. Moore of Abbottstown; six grandchildren; two step-
grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Agnes Little of Gettysburg, and Theresa Todt of  Shephard's Choice, 
Gettysburg; two brothers, Charles Moore of New Oxford, and Karl Moore of Hanover. 
He was predeceased by three brothers, John, George and Leo Moore; and two sisters, Pauline Shermeyer and Dorothy Hockensmith. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 26, from Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove, wth his pastor, Father Lawrence 
McNeil as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
