He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Jacob Mummert, of near Jefferson, Nathaniel, of near Wenksville, this county and J. W. Mummert, of near New Oxford, are the sons; Mrs. Mary E. Heller, of near Biglerville, this county, and Mrs. Mattie Emlet, of near New Chester, the daughters. Two brothers and four sisters also survive; Jacob Mummert, of near New Oxford, and Michael Mummert, of Oxford township, this county are the brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Levi Swartzabaugh, and Mrs. Henry Heck, of Hanover, Mrs. Eli Becker, of New Baltimore and Mrs. Daniel Mummert, of Blooming Grove. ******************************************************************************** ******** New Oxford Item (New Oxford, PA) 28 Feb 1902- Friday Henry Mummert, of Oxford township died suddenly at the home of Levi Swartzbaugh, in Hanover, between 1 and 2 o'clock Thursday morning, of consumption, aged about 74 years. He went to the home of Mr. Swartzbaugh on a visit last Friday, and seemed in his usual health. He is survived by three sons, Jacob, of Jefferson, Nathaniel, of near Wenksville, J.W., of Oxford township, and two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Hellar, of near Biglerville and Mrs. Mattie Emlet, of near New Chester, also by two brothers Jacob and Michael of Oxford township. The funeral was held on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from the home of his son, John The services were conducted by Rev. F. Hesse.
