Bernadette Noel

The funeral of Bernadette Noel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Noel, of Mt. 
Rock, whose death occurred on Thursday night, was held yesterday morning from 
Conewago Chapel, with a mass of high requiem at 9 o’clock by Rev. Fr. 
McLaughlin.  Following the services interment was made in the family lot in 
Conewago Chapel Cemetery.  The pall bearers were the Misses Cora Jacoby, Helen 
Lawrence, Alice Lawrence, Viola Smith, Valera Colgan and Edna Lawrence, close 
friends of the deceased.  They were assisted by Samuel and Frank Lawrence, 
Raymond and Curtis Smith.  Among those attending the funeral were Mrs. Annie 
Noel and daughter Evelyn of Baltimore; the Misses Nellie Topper and Viola 
Stevens, of Hanover; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Noel, Mrs. Veronica Smith and son 
Walter, Mrs. James B. Devine and children, Mrs. Lewis Klunk, of McSherrystown; 
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Billman, Misses Anna and Louise Billman, of New Oxford; Mr. 
and Mrs. Charles Breighner, of Irishtown, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Noel, Mrs. Caroline 
Strausbaugh, and daughter, of Edge Grove.  

The family wishes to thank neighbors and friends for the many acts of kindness 
shown during the sickness and after the death of Miss Bernadette Noel, and for 
the many floral designs.
