S. Noel. Rev. Father Fabian Sebastian Noel died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Marshall, at Woodbury, Baltimore, early Monday morning after a lingering illness of consumption, aged 45 years. He was a son of the late Michael Noel and wife, and was born at the old homestead at Noel's mill near Abbottstown. He is survived by five brothers and one sister, -- Rev. Michael A. Noel, S. J., pastor at McSherrystown; Felix, of Oregon; Stanislaus, of British Columbia; John, of Woodberry; Severinus, of near Abbottstown, and Mrs. Frank Marshall, of Woodberry. Father Noel was stationed at Roseburg and other points in Oregon for eight or ten years, during which time his health failed and he went to the Sandwich Islands to recuperate. During his stay there he visited the leper settlement and offered to remain and administer to the spiritual wants of the unfortunates there banished, but was not permitted so to do. He returned to the States and his health continuing to fail came East to die near his old home. His remains were brought to Conewago Chapel on Tuesday and interred in the cemetery there after a Grand Solemn High Mass in the Chapel, Wednesday morning.
