Orndorff died Dec. 31, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Carr, 305 Franklin street, from infirmities, aged 75 years, 5 months and 11 days. He was a son of the late Peter and Susan Orndorff, of near Hampton, Adams county. October 18th, 1859, he was married to Miss Catherine Wollet, who died 18 years ago. Since the death of his wife he has been making his home with his daughter in this place. The deceased is survived by the following children: Miss Mary Catherine Orndorff, at home; Vincent P. Orndorff, of Bonneauville; Francis A. Orndorff and Mrs. Charles Carr, Hanover; Charles E. Orndorff, of York; also 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. George Rohlman, of Waynesboro, survive. Mr. Orndorff was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in Company G. 165th Regiment, Pennsylvania Drafted Militia Infantry, also in Company G. 7th Regiment Pennsylvania. Funeral Monday morning from St. Vincent’s Catholic church, with a requiem high mass at 9 o’clock. Rev. Joseph Murphy officiating. Interment on the family lot in St. Joseph’s cemetery at Bonneauville.
