Miss Emma Pittenturf a life long resident of Heidlersburg, died last Wednesday, 
July 10, aged about 74 years.  She was the youngest of nine children of the late 
James and Betsy Pittenturf and followed occupation of seamstress for 50 years, 
and was highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends.  The funeral was held last 
Saturday.  Services by Rev. Glatfelter and Rev. L. M. Gardner of York Springs, 
with interment in Evergreen Cemetery of this place.  She is survived by a number 
of nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jacob Pittenturf with whom she 
lived.
