Quickel John Aaron Quickel, a well-known and respected resident of Washington township, Adams county, died at his home near East Berlin, Aug. 11, after a lingering illness of some months due to cancer. He was aged 64 years, 10 months and 10 days. The early part of his life was spent near Dover, York county, but for the last 25 or 27 years, he had resided at his late residence, near the Franklin Eisenhart mill. He is survived by his wife and the following children – Mrs. Ellen Deardorff, of Dallastown; O. M. Quickel, York Road Station; George and Miss Sadie Quickel, at home; Mrs. Emma Landis, of Mt. Royal. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Eliza Hersh, Miss Alice Quickel, Peter Quickel, York; Henry Quickel, of Dover, Eli Quickel, of Zion View; Jacob Quickel, of Spry.
