Mrs. John Riser

Mrs. Margaret Riser, widow of the late John Riser, died at her home, No. 178 Main street, 
McSherrystown, Tuesday, December 9, at 11:40 p.m., from a complication of diseases, following 
an illness of about two years.  Her age was 79 years and 5 days.

Mrs. Riser was born in Germany, coming to this country with her brother at the age of 17 years.  
She was married to Mr. Riser 55 years ago and most of her life was spent near Conewago, moving 
to her present home about 21 years ago, where the husband died four years later.

The deceased leaves four children, Mrs. J. F. Klunk, of Main street, McSherrystown; Peter 
Riser, of Fulton street, this place; Miss Maggie Riser and Vincent Riser, at home.  There are 
also six grandchildren surviving.
