Ruff, died at her home in New Oxford at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, after an illness of several years from Bright’s disease,, aged 61 years and 6 months. Deceased was a daughter of the late John Snyder, of Hamilton Township, Adams County, and was married 43 years ago to J. U. Ruff, son of the late John Ruff, also of Hamilton Twp., who survives her with one daughter, Mrs. Daniel Menges, of Midway, and two sons – Dr. William T. Ruff, of Philadelphia, and Clarence A. Ruff, of New Oxford. Two brothers – Franklin Snyder, of Selvina, Mo., and Wallace Snyder, of Gettysburg, also survive her. The death of Mrs. Ruff is the fourth in the Snyder family during the past 17 months. David and William Snyder, brothers and Mrs. Alexander Hoffheins, a sister of deceased, having died since Feb. 1908. Funeral Wednesday, July 14, at 10 a.m., at the house.
