All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ George Schlosser, the oldest resident of Menallen township died on Monday, aged 91 years, 1 month and 28 days. He was born in the Schlosser homestead located midway between Bendersville and Arendtsville and had lived 88 years in the same house. Throughout his entire life, with the exception of three years, he conducted that farm which in turn is being managed by his son, Ira Schlosser. For a number of years he served as road supervisor of Menallen township. About twenty-five years ago Mr. Schosser left his farm and moved into Bendersville where he stayed however for only three years. He was a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Schlosser and is survived by one son, Ira Schlosser; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Wireman of Columbia; Mrs. Harvey Cluck, of Aspers; Mrs. Daniel Gochenour of Butler township, and two sisters, Sally Schlosser and Mrs. Susan Bush, both of Bendersville.
