Child Dies of Meningitis 
Brian David Shermeyer, 2, Gettysburg R. 5, died at the Hanover Hospital Monday afternoon at 12:25 o'clock from meningitis.  He was 
removed to the hospital in the morning and death followed shortly after noon. 
A native of Adams County he was a son of Clair E. and Pauline E. (Moore) Shermeyer. 
Surviving are his parents and nine brothers and sisters: Norma J., at home; Sister Mary Veronica, West Indies; Mrs. Gene K. Beachtel, 
Littlestown; and Richard E., James L., Michael L., Anthony J., Mark A., and Emma V., all at home. 
Also surviving are the grandparents, John L. Moore, Gettysburg R. 5, and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Shermeyer, Dover R.2. 
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning with a Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bonneauville, at 9 o'clock with Rev. Fr. 
Louis Forgeng officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were made through the Feiser Funeral Home at New 
Oxford.
