Mrs. Joseph K. Shutt

Mrs. Eliza Jane Shutt, wife of Joseph K. Shutt, died last evening at 7 o’clock 
at her home at Smith Station from injuries received in a fall ten days ago.  She 
was aged 72 years, 7 months and 6 days.

The deceased was a daughter of the late Henry K. and Catherine (Snyder) Bowman, 
of York county, and is survived by her husband, one son, Harry B. Shutt, of 
Porters, and one daughter, Mrs. Jacob F. Shaffer, of near Dub’s Church; also a 
brother, Michael Bowman, of Blooming Grove, and three sisters, Mrs. John Henry, 
of Abbottstown; Mrs. Jacob Rebert, of this place, and Mrs. William Rudisill, of 
Porters.

Funeral, Monday, Aug. 14, services at the house at 9 a.m., further services and 
interment at Bair’s meeting house, Rev. J. H. Hartman and Rev. George E. 
Sheffer, officiating.
