Augustus J. Small

Augustus J. Small died at his late home in Midway, Friday, April 21, at 3:30 
p.m. from a complication of diseases, aged 53 years.

The deceased was a son of the late Aloysius and Catharine (Schwartz) Small and 
was born and spent his entire life in Adams county.  He was a cigarmaker by 
occupation, and a member of Cigarmakers’ Union No. 316 of McSherrystown.

Mr. Small leaves his wife and two children, Charles Small, at home, and Mrs. 
Arthur Rife, of Binghamton, N. Y.

Funeral, Monday, April 24, requiem high mass in St. Vincent’s church, Midway, at 
9 a.m., Rev. Joseph Murphy officiating.  Interment in St. Joseph’s cemetery, 
Hanover.
