Francis P. Small

Francis P. Small, an aged citizen formerly of McSherrystown, died at Gettysburg 
last night at 12 o’clock, following a stroke of paralysis.  He was aged 69 
years, 8 months and 11 days.

The deceased was a son of the late John Small and wife, of McSherrystown.  He 
was married to Miss Mary J. Hombach, a daughter of the late Dr. William Hombach, 
of McSherrystown.  She died about four years ago.

Mr. Small leaves one daughter, Mrs. Robert H. Myers, of Midway; a brother, John 
Small, of McSherrystown, and two sisters, Jane Small, of Edgegrove, and Mrs. 
William Poist, of McSherrystown; also, seven grandchildren.

The remains will be brought to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Myers, over the W. 
M. at 6:30 o’clock this evening.

Funeral Monday, Aug. 4, requiem high mass in St. Mary’s church, McSherrystown, 
at 9 a.m., Rev. L. Aug. Reudter officiating.  Interment on the family lot in St. 
Mary’s cemetery.
