Smith Francis Xavier Smith, an aged and well-known citizen of Adams county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Smith, Oxford townhip, from a complication of diseases, Monday, Feb. 25th. He had been suffering from infirmities, but was seriously ill for only about three weeks. He was aged 72 years. The deceased spent nearly his entire life as a farmer in Mt. Pleasant township, having gone two years ago to the home of his daughter, after the death of his wife, who was Miss Mary Klunk, of Hanover. One son, William Smith, of Mt. Rock, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hemler, of Mt. Pleasant township, and Mrs. Harry Smith, survive. Funeral Wednesday, Feb. 26th. High mass of requiem at Conewago Chapel at 9 a.m., Rev.
