Smith Wenksville, March 18: Jacob C. Smith, for many years a well known resident of Menallen township, died Tuesday morning at the home of his son, G. Frank Smith, near here, from dropsy and heart trouble, aged 81 years, 1 month and 4 days. He leaves the following sons and daughters: Harvey G. Smith, G. Frank Smith and William A. Smith, all of Aspers; Rev. Mervin E. Smith, pastor of the Lutheran church, of Williamstown; Mrs. J. Willis Eppleman, of Aspers, and Mrs. E. N. Hoffman, of Biglerville. Funeral on Friday morning, meeting at the home of G. Frank Smith, at 3:30. Services in the Bendersville Lutheran church, conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. D. E. Scott.
