Daniel Webster Stahl, McSherrystown, died Monday morning at 2:30 o’clock at his 
home.  Death was due to pneumonia and followed an illness of two weeks.

The deceased was a son of the late George and Sarah Stahl.  He was married on 
October 10, 1906, to Sarah Ann Ackerman, who survives, together with four 
children, Mrs. Frank Emig, Baltimore; Mrs. Audrey Plank, McSherrystown; Private 
Francis I. Stahl, Fort Jackson, S. C., and Mrs. Clair Neauman, McSherrystown; 
four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alverta Garrett, York, and four brothers, 
Robert, Samuel, Lewis and David Stahl, Hanover.

Mr. Stahl had been employed at the Cannon Shoe company plant in McSherrystown 
from the time it began operation until he was taken ill.  He was a member of the 
McSherrystown Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and of the Hanover Home 
association.

Funeral services this Thursday, meeting at the home at 8:30 o’clock, with high 
mass of requiem at 9 o’clock in St. Mary’s Catholic church, McSherrystown, the 
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Patrick F. McGee, rector, celebrant.  Interment in St. Mary’s 
cemetery, McSherrystown.
