All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Mrs. Leo Staub Mrs. Catharine Staub, widow of the late Leo Staub, died at her home at Berlin Junction at 8 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 23d, following an illness of six weeks from a broken hip, sustained in a fall, blood poisoning later developing. She was aged 85 years. Mrs. Staub was a daughter of the late John and Theresa Gilbert, of New Oxford, and her entire life was spent in Adams county. About sixty years ago she was married to Leo Staub, who, for many years, conducted a brick-making plant at Berlin Junction. Mr. Staub has been dead for about fifteen years. The deceased leaves five children: Mrs. John S. Weaver, of New Oxford; William E. Staub, of Hanover; James A., Leo J. and John Staub, of Berlin Junction. Also, one brother, Frank P. Gilbert, of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral Saturday, March 25, requiem high mass in the New Oxford Catholic church at 9 a.m., Rev. Mark Stock officiating. Interment in the New Oxford cemetery.
