Tipton Gettysburg, Nov. 17. – After an illness of four months from uraemic poisoning Mrs. William H. Tipton died Monday morning at one o’clock at her home on Chambersburg street. She was 69 years of age. Before her marriage to Mr. Tipton, she was Miss Mary Elizabeth Little, daughter of Eli and Esther Little. Last January Mr. and Mrs. Tipton celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James H. Cannon, Oakmont, Pittsburgh; Miss Esther Tipton, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Milton Wolf, Gettysburg; a son, Tyson Tipton, Buford street; grandchildren, William T. Timmons, Ellen Tipton, Freddie Tipton and Esther Tipton, Gettysburg, and James and Fritz Cannon, of Pittsburgh, and one brother, David A. Little, of Altoona. Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon meeting from the house, Rev. Paul R. Pontius officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery. Adams County Independent, November 18, 1921
