Trimmer, an aged lady residing near York Springs, was struck by an automobile occupied by H. D. Zeigler, of Wellsville and F. M. Altland, of Dillsburg, and received injuries from which she died a half hour later. The accident occurred about a mile South of York Springs. When going up the hill at the Wenger farm, just as the automobile was opposite the woman, who was walking by the roadside, a pet cat which she was carrying, jumped from her arms and Mrs. Trimmer, while trying to recover it was struck by the left front fender. The injured lady was at once place in the machine and taken to the office of Dr. E. W. Cashman, where she died fifteen minutes after her arrival. She was aged 7(5) ? years. On Tuesday Coroner Woomer held an inquest at York Springs, with the following jurymen: H. B. Pearson, foreman; Gil. P. Emmert, John L. Gibb, C. E. Pearson, W. H. Hardman and J. E. Bowers, who rendered a verdict exonerating Messrs. Zeigler and Altland of blame, as the accident was unavoidable. The funeral of Mrs. Trimmer was held from the residence of Mrs. Edward Asper, Thursday morning, with services and interment at the Brethren Meeting House, at Hampton. Rev.
