Wassem, died suddenly from an apoplectic stroke on Friday last. On Wednesday morning she was affected and never gained consciousness. Her remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery Monday morning with mass in St. Francis Xavier church, by the Pastor, Rev. Father Christ. The bearers were: Capt. Wm. J. Martin, Wm. F. Codori, Geo. E. Stock, Wm. J. Auman, E. P. Wisotzkey and John Kimple. Mrs. Wassem, a sister of John Zhea, of this place, is survived by a husband and the following children: M. T. Wassem and Mrs. Mary Frommeyer, this place; Miss Alice A., Altoona; Miss Anna M., this place; Mrs. John McGuire, New Oxford; Geo.
